Born into a musical household, Alessia Labate was first discovered as a contestant on the Italian talent show Io Canto, at the age of 12, where she duetted with Peter Cincotti and James Blunt and worked alongside a professional orchestra; right after the show she toured Italy’s arenas, started writing both in English and Italian and at 17 she participated in The Voice of Italy. These high-profile experiences genuinely shaped Labate’s approach to creating music and helped pave the way for her to enter “CET – Scuola di Mogol”, a prestigious songwriting school. After graduating high school, Labate moved to Rome and then to Milan to make music full-time. Following the release of her debut single in January 2019, she signed to a NY-based management company and started traveling to collaborate with producers and songwriters from around the world while simultaneously launching a steady stream of releases, mostly EDM and Pop. As an EDM vocalist and songwriter she’s been widely supported by editorial playlists and leading EDM outlets such as LA Weekly and We Rave You and radio shows such as Nicky Romero's Protocol Radio and Martin Garrix Radio. Labate’s Spotify editorial playlists coverage include: New Music Friday (Italy, Philippines, Norway, Gulf, Germany, Switzerland), Friday Cratediggers, Tokyo Beat Club, Dance Brandneu, Dance Rising, Hot New Dance, Dance Covers, Fresh Finds and Fresh Finds: Basement. She also collaborated with Italian artists Boss Doms and Sergio Sylvestre. Labate’s first live performance of her new songs was at the Unlock Festival, a charity festival put up by the NBCUniversal volunteers to raise money for the Prince’s Trust Charity Initiative “Million Makers” aiming to help young people fund their future. She recorded her live set at home performing her favorite releases from 2020.
In the last 2 years she featured in Billboard, nss G-Club, Alfietude, Earmilk, LA Weekly, Popwrapped, MTV New Generation Italy, BBC Introducing and more. During ADE 2021 in Amsterdam Alessia had her club debut singing her Progressive bop “Hold Me Down” alongside Marc Benjamin & Timmo Hendriks.
Her self-released debut EP YMNE came out in November 2021, showcasing edgy pop productions, mixed language lyrics; the lead single “You’re My Next Ex” featuring the American artist Harrison First and its music video were highly appreciated by Notion, Popmuzik and more.
She co-wrote with Troy Samson (Kelly Rowland, Nicky Romero, DJ Antonine), Ryan Stewart (Carly Rae Jepson, Alan Walker, Owl City), Curtis Richardson (JLO, Rihanna, David Guetta, Disciples), Simone Privitera (Steve Aoki, Don Diablo, Rovazzi, Ghemon, Gaia) and Daniele Autore (Vanilla Sky, Chris Brown, The Bloody Beetroots) and is co-writing for other artists as well, both Italian and international. As a vocal producer, she recently produced Nicolas McCoppin’s EP Loverboy released through AWAL which is now in the top 100 in US radio.

Figlia d’arte, Alessia Labate è stata scoperta all'età di 12 anni a “Io Canto” duettando con artisti come Renato Zero, Claudio Baglioni, Ron, Anna Oxa, Peter Cincotti e James Blunt. Per 2 anni partecipa alla trasmissione e vince una borsa di Studio per il CET, la prestigiosa scuola del maestro Mogol, e fa un tour per i palazzetti di tutta Italia col resto del Cast. Labate inizia presto a scrivere sia in Inglese che in Italiano e a 17 anni partecipa a The Voice. Dopo il diploma lascia la sua Cosenza e si trasferisce prima a Roma e poi a Milano per fare musica full-time. Dopo il suo singolo di debutto, Labate firma con la compagnia di management americana che segue Rose Villan e inizia a viaggiare per lavorare con autori e produttori da tutto il mondo, nel mentre rilascia tantissime canzoni EDM e pop: dagli show radiofonici di Nicky Romero e Martin Garrix Radio alle playlist editoriali più popolari, Alessia inizia a farsi conoscere nel mondo dell’EDM. Spotify la mette in New Music Friday (Italy, Philippines, Norway, Gulf, Germany, Switzerland), Friday Cratediggers, Tokyo Beat Club, Dance Brandneu, Dance Rising, Hot New Dance, Dance Covers, Fresh Finds e Fresh Finds: Basement. Nel panorama Italiano ha collaborato con Boss Doms e Sergio Sylvestre come autrice e vocalist.
La sua prima performance dei pezzi inediti è stata nell’estate 2020 per Unlock Festival, un festival di beneficenza prodotto dai volontari della NBCUniversal per raccogliere fondi per l’iniziativa “Million Makers” della charity inglese Prince’s Trust Charity.
Negli ultimi 2 anni Alessia si è fatta notare da Billboard, nss G-Club, Alfietude, Earmilk, We Rave You, LA Weekly, Popwrapped e altri outlet italiani e non. Diventa artista della settimana su MTV New Generation Italia con “Conversations With Myself”e la sua “I Want My Heart Back” con i giovanissimi Sam Luck (UK) e NRONE (germania) è stata suonata per una settimana di fila su BBC Introducing. Durante l’ADE 2021 Alessia ha fatto il suo debutto nei club di Amsterdam a fianco di Marc Benjamin e Timmo Hendriks.
Debutta col suo EP YMNE a Novembre 2021, con produzioni pop ispirate agli anni 2000 e testi misti Italiano / Inglese; il singolo principale “You’re My Next Ex” in collaborazione con l’artista Americano Harrison First è stato molto apprezzato da Notion, Popmuzik, etc. Il video è stato realizzato con il supporto di SIAE, Italia Music Export e Italia Music Lab.
Ha collaborato con autori come Troy Samson (Kelly Rowland, Nicky Romero, DJ Antonine), Ryan Stewart (Carly Rae Jepson, Alan Walker, Owl City), Curtis Richardson (JLO, Rihanna, David Guetta, Disciples), Simone Privitera (Steve Aoki, Don Diablo, Rovazzi, Ghemon, Gaia), Michele Clivati (Malika Ayane, Ermal Meta) e Daniele Autore (Vanilla Sky, Chris Brown, The Bloody Beetroots) e scrive anche per altri artisti italiani e non. Come vocal producer ha prodotto l’EP “Loverboy” di Nicolas McCoppin, finito nella TOP 100 delle radio Americane.
