When Hot Cakes heard this delicate yet booming bass music groove from Italian producer Andypop, we just had to sign it. "Take You Back" might sound like the title of a retro-leaning hands-in-the-air banger, but this is more of a slow-building, super-charged DJ tool, crackling 2-step beats and percussive fairy dust underpinning a heady blend of breakbeat elegance that's set off perfectly by a ghostly "little girl lost" vocal sample.

To give this release some dancefloor welly, we pulled in Germany's B-Phreak, whose turned in a peaktime beast boasting huge low end, killer jungle rhythms and some sick switches. Finally, hyped UK producer Underground Traffic sends down a half-time minimal UK bass riddim built round 808 bass and darkling, dystopian bells.
