ClayToRide are Stefano Sartori, Michele Thiella and Matteo Tretti. These three guys are now based in Cardiff, Wales (UK) after 7 years spent together in Thiene, Vicenza (Italy) and an hundred of gigs in Italy and Central Europe. Currently, the band has an Ep, two albums and the fourth work is ready. 6 new tracks new EP “WORTH LEAVING” have been released on the 27th of October 2017 by Sliptrick Records supported by the independent Italian label Red Eyes Dischi.
“There’s no fear of leaving the cradle and catch all tihe shades of this voyage , looking for better tides. Trying to catch all the worth around, Clay wrote down those six songs to say goodbye to the old paranoia and welcome to the new ones, cannot wait to travel and write down everything They’ll see. As the artwork of the disc, a marine iguana that beats the drown, ready to bring their music to a new step, diving this ocean.”
Talking about history, they released their debut 6 track EP in 2012 named “Age Of Innocence” : recordered / mixed and mastered by Giovanni Schiesaro at Sisma Recording Studio (Sarcedo, Vicenza, Italy)
Between 2013 and 2014 they released the video for the single “Nothing Really Dies” and the first studio album “For his Wine & Chamber” (La Simbiosi Dischi, 2014) produced by Mike III, recorded at the Prosdocimi Recording Studios http://www.prosdocimirecords.com , mastered by Ronan Chris Murphy at the Veneto West Mastering, Santa Monica, Los Angeles, U.S.A.
In 2015 the five-piece band became a trio as we know it today, They start to spend a long time trying new approaches to their music that leads them to self-produce their second studio album: “Glass Vessels(Red Eyes Dischi),recorded, mixed and mastered by Giovanni Schiesaro at the Sisma Studio.
The band are inspired by "every song/beat that reminds us of something important, as a memory, a dream or even an awareness." They have also been influenced by the likes of The Doors. Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro, Refused, Placebo, Il Teatro Degli Orrori, and Muse.
ClayToRide have been lucky enough to share the stage with Bud Spencer Blues Explosion, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, EF, Airway, Sula Ventrebianco, Dardust, Nuns of the Tundra and many more.
