Evolution rappresenta l'esordio di Michele Beneforti, in arte EMBI, nel panorama musicale internazionale. Scritto e arrangiato dal chitarrista e cantante ventiseienne durante i suoi studi al Berklee College Of Music di Boston, questo EP unisce Pop, Elettronica, Jazz e Neo Soul.
La produzione è stata curata interamente da studenti del Berklee, Christian Mombru, Brett White, Jason Lee, Alex Winter e Michele Beneforti. Pedro Calloni è stato il mixing e mastering engineer per tutti i brani tranne che per Over and Over, mixata da Alex Winter.
Le prime tre tracce hanno influenze Soul Elettroniche, ricordando Jamiroquai a Anderson Paak. Fantasy World ha un impronta Rock e Cocoa Eyes è uno strumentale dove Michele sfoga tutte le sue doti chitarristiche.
