GOLD MASS in on the rise, presen,ng her brand new ep FLARE, a beau,ful confirma,on of a strong and well-defined iden,ty, totally outside the box. The long awaited new record is set to be release on March 1st, and an,cipa,on has been steadily climbing for it.
FLARE feels incredibly polished and each song of the new ep is expertly constructed and produced, confirming that the ar,st is already showing a signature sound. FLARE is a work that clearly goes beyond the boundaries that the ar,st had reached with the previous release SAFE. The produc,on becomes more complex, the architecture of the sounds is structured into layers that thicken on top of each other for long stretches, to then leave room for more rarefied environments typical of a more reflec,ve and contempla,ve state of mind.
The new ep was preceded by three fascina,ng singles, FLARE, REVERB and EARTH released along 2023. GOLD MASS features now two new tracks in addi,on to them, named SOCIAL SLAVE and THERE SHOULD BE SKY ABOVE YOU.
A song like FLARE, which gives its name to the EP, is a pressing succession of soundscapes, an incessant gallop that transports us through a journey in search of our second birth, this ,me conscious and solely our choice. A gallop that rediscovers peace, opening up to a boundless space that we are invited to fly over, surrounded by light and amazement. An exhorta,on to live life with awareness, pursuing one's happiness without fear and with respect for everyone: "as long as we remain authen0c and consistent with the truth, we cannot help but shine".
REVERB explores the complex issue of self-esteem and condi,onal love, trying to understand the profound reasons for our undeniable need to be recognized as individuals worthy of love. Our reverbera,on is what remains of us when we have finished speaking and exposing ourselves, it is the image of us that we leave to others, the idea of us that we would like to realize and try to interpret for others. REVERB is a song that ques,ons the nego,ability of the dignity of love. A profound reflec,on on the meaning of value and merit.
EARTH is a declara,on of love towards planet Earth and the beauty contained within it. It draws aXen,on to the poli,cal and ethical importance of the choices we see made without foresight and respect. The song focuses on the theme of climate change, pollu,on due to plas,c and the environmental and social damage that derives from a vision of the world driven exclusively by the search for profit typical of the capitalist reality in which we are immersed and of which we suffer the consequences.

The dura,on of all the songs on the new album is lengthened, greatly exceeding the three canonical minutes of pop music, and addressing itself more explicitly to the territories of dance, bringing a warm and human aZtude to it.
The ar,st has a degree in physics, a specialist in experimental acous,cs, she creates and takes care of her own sound produc,on in complete autonomy, combining technical knowledge with a refined musical taste. She has released a string of cri,cally acclaimed works prior to this EP - Transi0ons (2019) produced by Paul Savage (MOGWAI) with lead single “Happiness in a way” featured in Spo,fy New Music Friday UK playlist, as well as SAFE (2021), featuring also the singles SPACE and SOULS, both released in 2021.
