A dare il nome al brano è un albero indiano considerato sacro, tramite il quale Indra parla di rinascita ed “immortalità”, parole chiave di ciò che l’artista vuole comunicare, rendersi immortali non arrendendosi mai davanti agli ostacoli e alle sconfitte, imparare e rialzarsi più forti: “ I become a little higher every time I’m reborn”.
La canzone ha molteplici chiavi di lettura che la legano inequivocabilmente ai mondi già presentati dall’artista.
La particolarità di questo albero, dotato di radici aeree che crescono dall’alto verso il basso, lo rende protagonista di diverse storie.
Una leggenda a cui Indra fa riferimento narra che esso riflettendosi sulle sponde di un fiume metta completamente in dubbio quale sia il cielo e quale sia la terra, simboleggiando così per la cantante una precarietà della realtà che ci circonda, facilmente interpretabile in base ai diversi punti di vista.
La canzone richiama sonoricamente un mondo tribale composto da percussioni e marimbe che si incastrano con la spensieratezza dell’ukulele, solo verso il finale la canzone si apre ad un ritmo più rock e deciso segnato dall’ intervento di basso e batteria in una cornice musicale che diventa più elettronica.
