"The truth was a mirror in the hands of God. It fell, and broke into pieces. Everybody took a piece of it, and they looked at it and thought they had the truth". (Mawlana Jalal-al-Din Rumi)
Taking inspiration from the famous - and highly mystical - verses by the Arab poet Rumi, this track explores the relationship between RastafarI and our contemporary individualities. In a synesthetic game of references Pupil tries to suggest perspectives for our outlook, in the search for a more effective lifestyle, aligned with our deepest center, in order to live a dignified and righteous life in a world in constant acceleration. The ideal aim outlined in the track is to re-unite our fragmented consciousness, thanks to the powerful historical and spiritual presence of the King.
“Don’t be a stranger to yourself,
and take it all back to the Center!”
