Nato dall’idea di fare vivere un’esperienza quadrifonica al proprio pubblico, nell’agosto 2014 sono state create musiche originali da proporre in un contesto che rendesse al meglio la spazialità dell’effetto sonoro. L’idea si è concretizzata nel parco dello studio Villa Persevera a Ravenna, con la regia dell’artista David Loom. I musicisti erano al centro del bosco con il pubblico seduto attorno a loro, mentre luci e suoni arrivavano dall’esterno creando una suggestiva concentricità.
Gli spettatori hanno così potuto vivere un concerto a diretto contatto con gli artisti, godendo dello spettacolo degli effetti delle luci tra i rami degli alberi. Questa condizione ha portato ai presenti a vivere una vera e propria esperienza audio-visiva. Il riscontro molto positivo e le richieste di poter avere quella musica su disco sono state talmente invitanti da far sì che Gabriele Bombardini e Matteo Scaioli iniziassero a sviluppare questo lavoro di registrazione. E’ proprio la musica, questa musica, a dare sinergia al tutto. Il progetto, avvalendosi di chitarre elettriche ed effetti, pedal steel, batteria, percussioni indiane ma anche moltissimi strumenti modulari e sintetizzatori analogici, si sviluppa sulle basi della musica jazz, pop-rock, elettronica e psichedelica.
La trentennale esperienza professionale dei due artisti, che li ha visti impegnati su tutti i fronti della musica, dal pop al free jazz, dalla fusion alla musica per la danza, si riversa oggi in uno stile unico, una musica nuova, una sperimentazione che varca il confine dei generi. Il gusto e la fantasia che li contraddistingue e la temerarietà nella ricerca di nuove sonorità, li ha portati oggi a poter proporre questo disco dal titolo omonimo.
On 18 of July 2015, the new album of Liquid Desire was released. Born from the idea of making their audience live a sort of quadraphonic experience, in August 2014, the origi-nal music was created to be proposed in a context that would make the most of the spatial sound effect. The idea became reality in Villa Persevera Studio in Ravenna, directed by the artist David Loom. The musicians were in the middle of the wood, the audience were sitting around them, while the lights and sounds came from the outside creating a striking concentricity. Viewers were able to live a concert in direct contact with the artists, enjoying the show of lighting effects through the branches of trees. This condition led people to live a real audio-visual experience. The very positive feedback as well as the requests to have their music on the disc were so inviting that persuaded Gabriele Bombardini and Matteo Scaioli to start developing this recording work. It’s just music, this music, that gives synergy to the whole.
The project , using electric guitars and effects , pedal steel , drums , Indian percussion but also many tools and modular analog synthesizers , is developed on the basis of jazz , pop - rock, electronica and psychedelic music . Thirty years of professional experience of the two artists , who were engaged on all fronts of music , from pop to free jazz , from fusion to music for dance , today flows into a unique style , a new music , an experimentation that crosses the border of genres. Taste and imagination that distinguish them but also the temerity to seek new sounds , have enabled them today to be able to offer this disc that brings their same name .
