Biografia SY/N
SY/N is one of the projects by Alex Ortiga, Italian music producer and visual artist. The project's aesthetic focuses on the creation of worlds where digital and physical are intertwined and thus hard to recognise. Every album has a different kind of narrative, spacing from the relationship between man and data, economy, cryptocurrencies, psychological implications we are facing living in a world that changes quickly. SY/N sound is an abyss of light and darkness obtained through the mixture of traditional elements coming from both western and eastern classical music. Samples and drones are reworked and dismantled through granular and spectral synthesis to create both ominous and distant soundscapes, capable of communicate the discomfort and the intimacy of the individual at the same time.
