troppo e nulla è trascorso... c'è chi è diventato padre, famiglie si sono create e disfatte, c'è chi ha chiuso la sua ragione sociale e aperto nuove frontiere alla ricerca di luoghi senza frontiere
21 anni. nel 1990 technogod esordisce con il "cola wars " e.p. pubblicato dalla inglese nation records capitanata da aki nawaz (ex batterista di southern death cult oltre che fondatore di fundamental) che dopo aver avuto un incubo ascoltando la band decide di contattarci.
l'esordio piace molto agli inglesi a tal punto da essere inseriti in quella scena post acid house che comprendeva i vari pop will eat itself, jesus jones etc. vari personaggi come john peel, andy weatherall e dave angel programmeranno il disco nelle loro trasmissioni e dj set
dopo una breve tounee londinese, nel '93 la band registra il suo primo album "hemo glow ball" per la contempo records di firenze con la coproduzione di roli mosimann (già noto per i suoi lavori con gli young gods, matt johnson/the the etc)
il lavoro ingloba una personale fusione di elettronica, rock e rap che suscita interessi in tutta europa e porta la band a fare una tournee europea di supporto ai consolidated di san francisco. in seguito i technogod faranno una decina di date di supporto ai meat beat manifesto in francia e seguiranno gli young gods nella loro tournee italiana
in seguito a problemi legali legati al fallimento della contempo la band nel frattempo crea il collettivo alieni della lost legion tramite la quale produce progetti più elettronici e ambient come ohmega tribe e b9d-vine i quali album escono sia in europa che negli stati uniti
la band inizia a ricevere anche altre proposte di collaborazione con gruppi italiani e non e le vengono commisionati vari remix (casino royale, blu vertigo, la crus, mau mau, young gods etc) e jingle pubblicitari (ceres, volkswagen etc)
nel 2006 i technogod pubblicano "2000 below zero". un lavoro complesso, ricco e saturo di idee, input e suoni. l'album esce in italia per la vox pop/bmg e la band riesce pertanto ad ottenere anche delle licenze per l'uscita e distribuzione in francia, germania, austria, e svizzera
seguiranno ulteriori concerti e tournee sia in italia che in francia supportando band come napalm death e asian dub foundation e nel 1998 la band si ferma e inizia a modificare il suo centro nevralgico con l'abbandono di alcuni dei membri fondatori
rimanendo in sordina ma senza perdere lo spirito del progetto, y:dk produce "undo" nel 2001-2002 sempre mantenedo un ottimo standard di responso da parte dei media
seguiranno le pubblicazioni di una serie di side projects come ">>" (2000) e "labiale" (2004) firmati da y:dk e l'omonimo "ramsazziz" (bagana 2008)
2009 è l'ora di un nuovo lavoro per technogod "pain trtn ment" sempre mantenedo lo spirito ironico/sarcastico di denuncia e rabbia...
il 2011 porta alla luce "whelm", quinto album di una band che sceglie di mutare il suo nome risultando se medesima. tack at sostituisce technogod ma è pur sempre "the artist commonly known as technogod" ... tack at::: secco, tagliente, snello e agile

1990 it all starts
a demo produced in a small bedroom winds up in aki nawaz's walkman and while snoozing he's overwhelmed by a nightmare -- no one will ever know what he was dreaming about, but the band he was listening to in his sleep was technogod
nawaz is the artistic director of a small independent label called 'nation records' known for releasing artists such as transglobal underground, natasha atlas and fundamental. (he's also former drummer of the southern death cult...)
1990 and nation records releases technogod's "cola wars" e.p.. the band's post acid house mixture of rock, electronics and rap immediately appeal to djs like andy weatherall, colin dale and even john peel spins some of the band's tracks
contempo records, in 1993, release technogod's first full-length album entitled "hemo glow ball" co-produced by the band and roli mosiman (known for his production work with the young gods, swan, the the and many more).
what follows is a glorious european tour supporting consolidated, a french tour with meat beat manifesto and an italian tour with the young gods with whom they will share not only a friendship but also management for a few years
in the mid 90s technogod creates the "lost legion alien collective" producing ohmega tribe's "anodyne wisdohm" debut album which gets great attention both in europe and in the u.s. and gets relased by the prestigious ambient u.s. label silent, while in europe it gets released by hyperium/hypnobeat, and vox pop/alchemax in italy. the alien collective will also put together the "lost legion sampler" a compilation that will also get released by silent, hyperium and gamma records in denmark
in the meantime in 1996 the band is free at last from cotractual trivia and releases its heaviest work, "2000 below zero", the album gets released in italy by vox pop/bmg, musidisc licenses it for france and hyperium/hypnobeat in germany/austria and switzerland
various tours and shows ensue. technogod tours with papa brittle in france and does various support shows with the young gods, asian dub foundation and napalm death
in 1998 the band after various remixes (including one for the young gods and one for detrimental) and tv jingles comes to a hiatus only to recoup its vitality in 2001
2001-2002 technogod releases "undo" continuing to get great reviews for its uncompromising way of making music
and finally in 2009 technogod/tack at produces and releases "pain trtn ment"
in mid2010 "no fun pour moi?" the video featuring tying tiffany is released while the band starts work on new material
looking at a release in early 2012, tack at has completed its fifth album entitled "whelm" and is preparing live work and a new video with the same director who worked on "no fun pour moi?", umberto nicoletti
20 years of total musical, stylistic, and productive independence... grinning and bearing it
