"A Taste of Dystopia" è il nuovo singolo del duo Alternative/Electro Soul TECHNOIR, formato da Alexandros Finizio e Jennifer Villa, il quarto estratto dal nuovo album "AFTER MATH"
(in uscita il 27 Ottobre 2023), interamente realizzato nell'home studio della band e prodotto da Alexandros.
"A Taste of Dystopia", piuttosto che un brano è un'atmosfera.
E’ una delle produzioni in cui il duo maggiormente sovverte il proprio sound, costruendo la canzone su un beat quasi trap dai tratti oscuri, utilizzando la voce di Jennifer più come un synth e affidando la melodia vocale principale ad Alexandros.
Il brano è stato ispirato da un viaggio del duo nella nebbiosa campagna inglese.
Il cuore di "A Taste of Dystopia" ruota attorno al concetto del "Lete" di Dante Alighieri, il fiume dell'oblio nel regno dei morti. Questo simbolo viene abilmente intrecciato nella trama della canzone, rappresentando la lotta umana tra il desiderio e l'oblio, la realtà e l'illusione.
