In The Land of Dreams

Silver Key is a band born in 1992, which started as an official cover band of Marillion & Fish. Now after many years of live performance they publish their first album. The name "Silver Key" comes from a tale by the American writer Howard Phillips Lovecraft, famous for his fantasy stories focused on the so-called "Cthulhu Myths." According to Lovecraft, the Key Silver is the magical object that provides access to the Kingdom of Dreams, the Dreamlands where everything is possible. On this basis the band have created a piece of music inspired by the musical references of the early Marillion, ranging more modern and contemporary musical ideas, innovative but always well anchored to classic Prog.

Silver Key è una band nata nel 1992, che partita come cover band ufficiale di Marillion & Fish, dopo molti anni di esibizione live pubblica ora il primo album. Il nome “Silver Key” deriva da un racconto dello scrittore americano Howard Phillips Lovecraft, famoso per le sue storie fantasy incentrate sui cosiddetti “Miti di Cthulhu”. Secondo Lovecraft la Chiave d’Argento è l’oggetto magico che consente di accedere al Regno dei Sogni, le Dreamlands dove ogni cosa è possibile. Con queste basi esce fuori un lavoro musicale che prendendo spunto dai riferimenti musicali dei primi Marillion, spazia su idee musicali più moderne ed attuali, innovative ma sempre ben ancorate al Prog più classico.
